Fellowships for Research in the U.S.A.   

The fellowship is an outright non renewable grants of $20,000 for doctoral fellows and of $35,000 for post-doctoral fellows.
In addition, the Foundation pays for health insurance.
Fellows are expected to stay in the U.S.A. for a full year.

Postdoctoral applicants should have no more than 3 years of postdoctoral research experience at the time of the selection interview.
Fellows who have means of their own to finance their studies in the U.S.A. may apply for an Honorary Fellowship of the Foundation.  

Eligibility requirements  

1. be a Belgian citizen;
2. hold a university degree of a regular second cycle or doctorate from a Belgian institution recognized as a university by the Ministries of Education;
3. have an outstanding academic record;
4. have a good command of the English language.

Deadline for Application  

Before October 31 for research starting between July 1 and December 31 of the following year.
