Fellowships for Research in the U.S.A.   

The fellowship is an outright non renewable grants of $21,000 for doctoral fellows and of $35,000 to $40,000 for post-doctoral fellows.
In addition, the Foundation pays for health insurance.
Fellows are expected to stay in the U.S.A. for a full year.

Doctoral or postdoctoral applicants should have no more than 3 years of respectively doctoral or postdoctoral research experience at the time of the application deadline.
Fellows who have means of their own to finance their studies in the U.S.A. may apply for an Honorary Fellowship of the Foundation.  

Eligibility requirements  

1. be a Belgian citizen;
2. hold an academic Master degree, second cycle university degree, or doctorate from a Belgian university;
3. have an outstanding academic record;
4. have a good command of the English language.

Deadline for Application  

Before October 31 for research starting between July 1 and December 31 of the following year.
