Take tests: TOEFL or IELTS, GRE or GMAT
If you apply for graduate studies in the USA , you must take:
1. the Test of English as a Foreign Language, the TOEFL iBt test: www.ets.org/toefl TOEFLiBT score of at least 100/120 before November 15.
or the IELTS test (International English Language Testing System) run by the British Council and accepted by a large majority of US universities : http://www.ielts.org/ IELTS score of at least 7.5/9 before November 15.
2. the graduate admission test as requested by the US university:
This admission test depends on which graduate study program you apply to:
- for a graduate school other than LL.M. and business, you must take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE), www.ets.org/gre GRE scores for MA or MS degree: (VR>150, QR>150, AW>3.5)
for Ph.D. program recommended GRE scores (VR>160, QR>160, AW>4.0) N.B.: for particular study field, an additional GRE subject test might be required.
- for business school, you must take the Graduate Management Admission Test: GMAT, www.mba.com. GMAT scores (VR>38, QR>44, AW>4, IR>6, total >700)
