Fellowships for Biomedical Engineering Research in the U.S.A.  

The fellowship is an outright grant of $40,000 providing stipend to cover living and travel expenses. In addition, the Foundation pays for health insurance. Fellows are expected to stay in the U.S.A. for a year.  

Eligibility requirements  

1. hold a university degree of a regular second cycle from a Belgian institution recognized as a university by the Ministries of Education or be affiliated as a researcher with a Belgian university since at least two years

2. be nominated by a Rector or a Dean of Faculty from a recognized Belgian university

3. have an outstanding academic record

4. have a good command of the English language

5. engage in doctoral or postdoctoral biomedical engineering research in the U.S.A.  

Deadline for Application  

Before October 31 for research starting between July 1 and December 31 of the following year.
